You might need to turn the VoLTE setting ON. Please check your device manufacturer’s support website if you are unsure of your device’s specific capabilities. Android devices If you have a Samsung device, Voice over LTE should automatically be enabled. If you’ve previously disabled VoLTE and want to re-enable it, or would like to check if it’s enabled on your Android device, please go to your Settings > Mobile Networks.[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”14px” global_colors_info=”{}”]So was my Galaxy A5 compatible with VOLTE and the answer is yes,List of Samsung Phones that are VOLTE compatible[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]Galaxy J2 Pro 4GGalaxy A05s 4GGalaxy A5 2017 4GGalaxy A8 4GGalaxy A11 4GGalaxy A12 4GGalaxy A13 4GGalaxy A13 5GGalaxy A14 4GGalaxy A14 5GGalaxy A20 4GGalaxy A22 5GGalaxy A30 4GGalaxy A32 5GGalaxy A33 5GGalaxy A34 5GGalaxy A51 4GGalaxy A52 5GGalaxy A52s 5GGalaxy A53 5GGalaxy A70 4GGalaxy A71 5GGalaxy A73 5GGalaxy S8 4GGalaxy S8+ 4GGalaxy S9 4GGalaxy S9+ 4GGalaxy S10e 4GGalaxy S10 4GGalaxy S10+ 4GGalaxy S20 FE 4GGalaxy S20 FE 5GGalaxy S20 4GGalaxy S20 5GGalaxy S20+ 4GGalaxy S20+ 5GGalaxy S20 Ultra 5GGalaxy S21 FE 5GGalaxy S21 5GGalaxy S21+ 5GGalaxy S21 Ultra 5GGalaxy S22 5GGalaxy S22+ 5GGalaxy S22 Ultra 5GGalaxy S23 FE 5GGalaxy S23 5GGalaxy S23+ 5GGalaxy S23 Ultra 5GGalaxy Note Edge 4GGalaxy Note8 4GGalaxy Note9 4GGalaxy Note10 4GGalaxy Note10+ 4GGalaxy Note20 4GGalaxy Note20 5GGalaxy Note20 Ultra 5GGalaxy Z Flip 4GGalaxy Z Flip3 5GGalaxy Z Flip4 5GGalaxy Z Flip5 5GGalaxy Fold 4GGalaxy Z Fold2 5GGalaxy Z Fold3 5GGalaxy Z Fold4 5GGalaxy Z Fold5 5GGalaxy Tab A 8.0 2017 4GGalaxy Tab A 10.1 4GGalaxy Tab A 10.5 4GGalaxy Tab A7 (2020) 10.4 4GGalaxy Tab A8 10.5 4GGalaxy Tab A9+ 5GGalaxy Tab S4 4GGalaxy Tab S5e 10.5 4GGalaxy Tab S6 10.5 4GGalaxy Tab S7 11.0 4GGalaxy Tab S7+ 12.4 5GGalaxy Tab S8 11.0 5GGalaxy Tab S8+ 12.4 5GGalaxy Tab S8 Ultra 14.6 5GGalaxy Tab S9 11.0 5GGalaxy Tab S9+ 12.4 5GGalaxy Tab S9 Ultra 14.6 5GSamsung Galaxy Watch 4GSamsung Galaxy Watch Active2 4GSamsung Galaxy Watch3 4GSamsung Galaxy Watch 4 4GSamsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic 4GSamsung Galaxy Watch5 4GSamsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro 4GSamsung Galaxy Watch6 4GSamsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic 4G[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]Flash Custom RomMy next thought was that perhaps I needed to flash a custom ROM to my Samung phone. There are numerous custom ROMs available such as LineageOS , CRdroid however all these custom ROMs have not been able to implement VOLTE. The reason for is because Samsung and LG use proprietary IMS implementation (Which is used by VoLTE/VoWifi/ViLTE etc). To do this we need to install Samsung’s Android USB Driver for Windows v1.7.59 onto a Windows computer.
